A younger person asked me the other day: What skills should I develop to live a better life?

First off, it shocked me a little that this human of 20ish years would think that I would have some idea about skills that would help them live better.

But then I realized that, okay, I have lived a good 15 years more than them — and I have traveled extensively, lived abroad in multiple countries, started (multiple) semi-successful businesses, etc.

So I should have picked up some decent skills that have been useful….

In that moment, I came up with these two skills that I think have been very useful to me, and that may be helpful to you too.
