21 Jan - 28 Jan: Global Strike for Gaza.
Bisan Owda, a Palestinian journalist, called for this week-long strike for Gaza, for Palestine, a few days ago. The idea is to put pressure on corporations and governments to withdraw their support for Israel and the genocide it is enacting on Palestinians.
I canceled my Intentional Travel 2024 workshop in light of that. It was meant to happen on 24 Jan, but it seemed right to cancel it as part of the strike for Gaza. I am also avoiding using my credit/debit cards, educating myself on the history of Palestine, sending emails to my representatives, and engaging in conversations with my network about Palestine.
Because I support Palestine.
You may be wondering: But what does Palestine have to do with you?
What does Palestine have to do with any of us?

If there’s anything I’ve learned from my years of travel, it’s that everyone, everywhere, has everything to do with all of us, all the time.
Don’t you see, darling - we’re all connected.
