Agree with so much of this. I was at an event where they were doing a Brene Brown rapid-fire question, and one question was "Vulnerability is ______". And someone answered 'anti-capitalism'. It surprised me, but then as we talked about it more, it made total sense. Anyway, all that to say, thank you for sharing. Opting to do something different from the standard issue path takes courage, and is marked w messy places along the way. I'm sorry your relationship ended, but I'm glad you had the opportunity to unpack more around it, and hopefully take some of those thoughts and ideas into the next iteration of whatever 'relationship' looks like.
