Would you give away something for nothing? For most of us, the idea is almost unthinkable. “Giving away something for nothing? Why would I do that? What’s in it for me?” In Singapore, where I was born and raised, we have a very practical (pragmatic?) outlook on life – I’ll only do something if my own position is improved as a result. I believe this is the case in many parts of the world that hold a more individualistic perspective.
